Hello,
I’ve just been diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic through a blood test which showed 92 mmol and it’s been quite a shock.
Over the last week I have cut out all soft drinks, pasta, noodles, chocolate, bread, cereal... eating more fruit, fish, chicken, salad... I do feel better and have been out walking more, but find I am struggling a little with my energy levels and digestion (especially in the evening - sometimes so bad I thought it was something much more serious, but it also seemed to be associated with low energy, so who knows).
I am also very scared about what the future holds as I am only 35 and my family has a history of heart attacks. I am seeing the diabetics nurse in 2 weeks.
Any help on what to ask or any similar experiences are appreciated.
