I've just joined the group as i was told that I have Type 2 diabetes on 24 May 2019 and was given the following advice - you can have a Rich Tea Biscuit, drink wine and don't put cream on your toes. That was the last time I saw that Nurse! At that time my A1c was 48 and she kept on are you having Metformin then until I caved in and agreed. The doctor told her to tell me I had to go back 2 weeks later and saw a different nurse who said I didn't need to take Metformin. The result is that I aren't taking any notice of what the NHS say because, looking at this forum I have more chance of getting good advice from all of you..
