Hi I'm Binkey, type2 for 10 years +.
After a bit of a fright with poor retinopathy test results I'm trying to get back on track . I look forward to getting some motivation!

Hi Binkey, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear about the retinopathy, hope the issue is resolved now 🙂 Are you on any medication for your diabetes? Please let us know if we can help in any way! 🙂

Thanks I am on three types of meds, and 'threatened' with insulin My retinopathy test was better this time so I'm hoping to keep motivated, I'm sure this forum will help

Glad to hear your retinopathy has improved 🙂 Don't feel threatened by insulin, if it's what you need to manage your blood glucose levels well, then that is fine, don't think of it as a failure in any way 🙂 Many people find that it gives them great improvements and is easier and more flexible for them than oral medications 🙂

Hi Binkey, welcome 🙂 I agree with Northerner, how you manage your diabetes isn’t the issue, the only thing that is important is that you do manage it. The only failure is doing nothing
So glad that the retinopathy has improved, let’s make sure it continues to do so :D
