first time ive used the forum so excuse me if i make any mistakes, was diagnosed type 2 diabetes some 6 years now an it still scares me am I alone or is there anyone else out there that feels the same?

Being scared is all perfectly normal, i hope. I was diagnosed about 18 months ago and it still scares me.

Hi Shirl, welcome to the forum 🙂 It's perfectly normal to feel as you do, hopefully we can help you feel more in control so that you can respect the diabetes, but not let it scare you so. Knowledge is the key, so please ask any questions you may have - you never stop learning, we have people here with over 40 years experience who are still finding out new things to help them 🙂

You wont regret it Shirl this place is a lifeline for so many of us, we all have one thing in common the diabetes and what the docs and nurses dont understand is we are the ones that are in charge of our diabetes 24/7 thats whats so special about us as a group we know what each other is going through and we have many of the same feelings day in day out, you will be made to feel very welcome x
