M childhood was difficult as we moved countries a lot. What exactly do you mean when you say regime? (i'm not great with all the technical terms)

Novorapid and lantus (Glagine) injections. I personally have never liked the idea of a pump. Just being attached to something puts me off. 🙂. What about you?

Hiya - I assure you none of us go for a pump because we want to be attached to something 24/7 - we want them to control our BG better is the long and short of it.

No exogenous insulin can ever meet our exact bodily needs anyway however it's delivered - but if we can get it nearer right, for more time every day, then hopefully we can stave off any complications even longer than we might with less good control. This seemed to get more important to me as I got older! LOL

First time I ever did a basal test I was gobsmacked at the variation in my BG - however it's totally normal, that's what bodies do and the pancreas automatically obliges with exactly the right amount of insulin which might only be a teeny amount or could be relatively huge. Obviously I dunno how much insulin you use in a day (Total I mean) but I don't use shedloads myself yet I still use about double what a non diabetic produces and uses in a day - non D about 10u a day, me about 20u. But I used to use over 30u when I was on 'jabs' to apparently do the same job!
