Hi there!
New to the forum but been diagnosed Type II for nearly 4 years now!!!
Looking for some support and hopefully some new friends to have wild parties full of pepsi max and cucumber on sticks 😉

Type II on various medication including the new one - Liraglutide aka Victoza - so seeing how that goes! Anyone also on it please get in touch!

Live in Orpington, Kent - so anyone in the surrounding areas want to get in touch - email, penpal, or meets up - for social / sport etc more than welcome!

Hope to get to know some of you better soon!

I'd be happy to join you in a Pepsi Max binge... I've been type2 for nearly 18 months and Pepsi Max is my soft drink of choice.🙂
You're on Victoza huh? That's quite new, i don't think anbody else here's on that yet, i'm told (by the maufacturer Novo, natch...) that it's better than exenatide (byetta). Novo also had an impressive list of web based help for users. I'd be interested to hear how you're getting on with it. I'm not actually taking the stuff (i'm on metformin, ramipril and simvastatin...although the latter doesn't count coz i always forget to take it) but i'm a pharmacy tech and you hear all this gran build up from the sales reps but not what the people two actually take the stuff think.

Diet coke? You sick deviant ;-) lol. Well at least its not as bad as sainsbury's basics cola - which is only good for one thing - cleaning the toilet 🙂

Thanks for the message rachel. I'm also on metformin and gliclazide. Yeah i wont be surprised if any one is on it. I know i'm first in hospital! Mr guinea pig as they call me. But at least doc's got a sense of humour when i saw her last 'still alive then?' 🙂 ...haven't been on website but will now. Well early days but seems to be having a good effect - feeling better, less hunger, and sugars going down. I'll update on a new thread another day. Was on exenatide for a year and a half and was working wonders! But then it went to the wall, so they think my body has built up a resistance to it! :-s
