Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I've just joined this forum so I thought I'd say hi here and share my brief diabetes history.

Diagnosed Type 2 in February 2009. Hb1AC in March was 10.1. May 6.5; then August was 5.1 and today 5.0. Next one in 6 months time. My DSN loves what I've done and supports me.

I was 15 st 9lbs last Feb, now I'm 12st 10lbs and this loss was all diet change. Now I'm back exercising regularly. Love cycling, Spin cycling 🙂 and some weight training.

I follow a low carbohydrate diet to control my blood sugar levels and test regularly. I do get prescribed test strips and lancets.

I'm on 2 x 500 mg Metformin, twice a day.

Happier, thinner and more energetic than I have been for years. Diabetes is not the best thing to have but it made me waken up and take control of myself. :D

Hi Ken - A wonderful achievement! Well done! The way to go!

Keep up the good work and telling your story and inspire others!

You've learnt a lot in a very short time - it took me nine years to get to where you are.

Best wishes - John

Thank you

Thank you all for your best wishes. 🙂
I do feel it is just the start though, there is no end to this one.
