Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
new here, was hoping to get some help,
I have diabetes 2 which is controlled by tablets,
recently January I started to keep feeling unwell, my hba1c they told me was 92 and they altered my pills. they spoke of putting me on a new injection to help control it
still not on it. my hba1c is currently around 71 and I keep feeling crabby its affecting my stomack
feeling nausea and feeling sick. ive had 2 cataracts removed in the last 2 years they still just adjusting my tablets. I keep getting night sweats and all they do is adjust my pills. is there no more they can do. I respect the injections may cost but if its what I need to control my diabetes does it not make sense to put me on it.....stressed Gary.

Hi Gary, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear you are having problems :( What tablets are you on? Do you have an appointment booked to discuss the next step? There are lots of different things they can try, and it's important that they do their best to help you get your levels down, so don't take no for an answer - if necessary ask to see a different doctor.

Absolutely Gary - lots of things they could try you on, indeed.

Meanwhile - maybe you could do things to help yourself as much as possible?

Have you tried looking at your diet for instance? - has anyone ever explained that it's carbohydrates that increase our Blood glucose and suggested ways you might cut down on them? Or maybe whatever exercise you do - could you do more or different?

Difficult for us to suggest a great deal without knowing a bit more about you and your lifestyle though - describe a typical day in your life including an idea of what you would usually eat - and we'll try and be a bit more helpful if we can.

Welcome to the forum Gary 🙂
