Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hello 🙂I am new to the site but not to Diabetes
been a Diabetes for about 14yrs I was on the Metformin but a few weeks back I am on insulin Apidra Solo STAR 16 units 3 times a day and then Lantus at night 32units and I have to start metformin SR along with the insulin
Right now I am finding it all hard to cope with all the changes and I am feeling like a pin Cushion sandra
 
Hi Sandra, welcome to the forum 🙂 That is quite a change in regime from what you have been used to - presumably you were diagnosed as a Type 2 originally? How is the insulin working for you? Have you been told about 'carb counting' so that you can learn how to adjust your Apidra doses to match the carb cntent of the food you wish to eat? If not, do ask as it will make life much easier and more flexible for you 🙂

You have had a lot of changes to cope with recently, I hope your insulin regime is helping you to get your levels stable. You do get used to being a pin cushion eventually! 🙂
