Tom is 8 and was diagnosed with type1 when he was 3. He is active and happy but as his parents we have our highs and lows too!
 
good evening and a warm welcome to the site tom if you have not already have a look at the parents section, theres a good lot of parents in here who are all lovely people , as you say it is hard enough for the child but theres always the anguish and the happy times for the parents to im sure they will offer you invaluble advice and support as will we all x

im new to this site to, but have been diabetic for 10 years now and still get highs and lows.

Hi, welcome to the forum🙂 Sounds like Tom is coping with things well, although as parents I'm sure you have your ups and downs. Please go ahead and share you experiences and ask anything - you are guaranteed the help and support of many wonderful people here. Glad you joined us!🙂
 
Hi Tom's Dad - say hello to Tom and welcome him and you to the forum. Lots of people on here whose children are diabetic, all sharing experience and knowledge etc, so take your time to get to know the forums and have a good ol read.

Welcome to the forum and I'm glad that Tom is doing well. I'm sure this site will be of great benefit to you. It's a great place to ask for advice, let off steam or whatever. I'm sure my parents would have loved something like this when I was diagnosed at the age of five.
