Hello,

Im Claire .. 25 and ive had diabetes since i was 7 .... love to chat to people of a similar age ..... none of my friends n family understand so i feel alone alot .... i have an insulin pump which ive had since january this year .... 😉

Hi Claire, welcome to the forum 🙂 There are people of all ages here, so I hope you'll find that you have lots in common with lots of us 🙂 What sort of pump have you got?

There's an organisation called Circle D that you might also be interested in, for 18-30s, details at http://www.circledrocks.co.uk/ - they have various groups up and down the country 🙂
 
Hi Claire i'm also Claire, i'm 33 so not tooooo much older than you, this forum has helped me to NOT feel alone so much as a diabetic, welcome

I'm MUCH older than you but have had T1 for a long time. :D

cheeky lol at the meet i remember that it was said i do not look my age.... although i freely admit this was probably due to the pickling effect alcohol has had on me in the past 😱

Welcome Claire. We've had diabetes about the same length of time. You can work out my age from below, although the big three zero is looming 😱
I hope you find this forum valuable. I certainly have. One of the main reasons for me is just knowing there are other people going through the same things as you every single day.
How are you getting on with the pump? Still early days but I hope it's helping. I didn't see the massive reduction in HbA1c that some people have but can't ever imagine going back to pens.
