Hi, I'm new to this forum but I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2005.
I have lots of questions and worries but not sure where to begin! lol. So I'll probably be asking quite a few question over the next few days.

So... before I start bothering everyone, I thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm Kim, I'm 25 (26 this month), I live in Derbyshire with my Husband, Andy, and our 4 dogs.

Hi Kim and a warm welcome to the forum, may as well carry on with the introductions I'm steph 29 live in London with son aged 10 one dog one partner lol x

Ps ask as many questions as you like there's always some one here to help out

Hi Kim and welcome to the forum. Diabetes tends to bring with it a lot of questions and worries, so ask away and someone will try and help - or of they don't know try to give you a source that may be able to help.

Welcome to the forums Kim 🙂

Diagnosed at 18 as a type 2?! Ooo, you must be the youngest I've met!

I'm Mark, I'm 37 and have a wife and a (almost) 3 year old.

Hi Kim welcome, its a nice place here, I was diagnosed type2 in 2005 also, carrying on with steffs introduction, I'm John, living near Bristol with a bird, shes not my wife, in case your wondering shes my parrot 🙂

John.

Hi Kim

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to hearing more from you 🙂

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Mark, tbh I don't actually know what type I am, I just put type 2 in my profile thing, because that was what I was originally diagnosed with! I was actually told that I was type 2 because I was too old to be type 1! I have posted about it in another thread.

lol John, I also have a parrot, as well as a couple of snakes, a few hedgehogs and a goldfish. 🙂

Hi Kim
I was diagnosed with Type 1 at 53, no previous symptoms with an active lifestyle, how the hec can 18 be too old?
Best wishes

Hi Kim!

I was actually diagnosed with type 2 when I was 18 as well, how strange!

I've only just joined recently as well, but it seems friendly enough to me 🙂 I hope you have fun.
