Was diagnosed a week ago with type 2 diabetes. Finding it all a little confusing and also finding the symptoms difficult to deal with.

Hi Skye, welcome to the forum! There is a lot to learn, but try not to worry too much and don't feel you need to learn it all overnight. If there's anything you need to know, please ask.🙂

Thank you

thank you, its nice to find somewhere where we can speak with others in the same situation. I've been put on Metformin. Only problem being is that i keep coming over very hot, sweaty and feel like i want to pass out. Also feel constantly sick. Is this normal?

Your body is probably going through a transition now that your condition has been identified and is being treated. Hot sweats appear to be common amongst diabetics, however long you've had it. You may also be getting side-effects from the Metformin - quite a few here have reported bad effects from it. If that's the case, discuss it with your doctor, as there are alternatives and we want you to feel well again!🙂

Hi Skye , Ive just noticed you have Yahoo , feel free to add me 🙂
