Hello,

Have been poking around for a while but thought it was about time I said hello.

Have just returned home from my yearly eye check and it came back all clear. Great news especially as last year they had detected some changes. This has put a great big smile on my face and I just felt the need to share with people that understand!

Looking forward to getting some good help and advice from the forums.

Welcome to the forum, result with the eyes test..........

I had changes last time and they put me on bp tablets, so fingers crossed my next one in february show nothing........

I have my hospital appointment tomorrow too so hoping it goes as well as my eye test. HbA1C was up at 9% last time so fingers cross it's come down a bit.

Hi everyone,

Just got back from my appointment and there was some good news and some bad ...

Bad: My HbA1c was 9.3%

Good: I have finally, after 3 years of asking, been referred to a pump specialist (this makes me very happy!)

Sorry to hear about the HbA1c :( Did they suggest any strategy for reducing it? Hope you don't have to wait too long for the pump - did they give you a timescale?
 
Yes, he was very good and spent a lot of time going through my carb counting and has changed my ratios slightly. Seeing him again in 3 months to see if there's some improvement. I really hope I can bring it down.

I have a feeling i'll be waiting a while for the pump but at the moment i'm just glad i've had the referral i've be wanting for so long.
