Hello,
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2019 at quite a young age in my 30's.
I've suffered with anxiety/panic and PTSD and the medication I've been on for years can cause problems with blood sugars but I also had very poor diet which lead to me being very overweight. I've now lost over 8 stone and am making a real effort to control my diabetes.
I've joined the forum in the hope of picking up tips/ideas and general support.
Thanks,
John

Hi @johnd1981 and welcome to the forum - well done on the weight loss, that is amazing :star: - please ask any questions you may have - we're all here to help and support each other - glad you have found us 🙂

Welcome from me also, what a fantastic result on weight loss, I'm sure that will help in reducing your blood glucose.
It is always challenging when medication for something else makes blood glucose management more difficult and it means that extra effort or diabetic meds are needed.
You must have made some dietary changes to lose the weigh so hopefully those will have also helped with blood glucose and be compatible with reducing blood glucose.
Have you had a recent HbA1C to see where you are now as that will guide what you need to be doing going forward.
It will also depend on if you are taking any meds. We can point you in the direction of ideas for diet but that will depend on that.

Welcome to the forum @johnd1981

Wow! Congratulations on the 8 stone weight loss - that’s amazing!

Hi and welcome, as above, congrats on the weight loss, that is some reduction, and will be putting so much less stress on your body/organs, etc....Keep us updated with progress.
Do you know what your last HbA1c was when you had a blood test?
