Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Just been diagnosed Type2. Just trying to get my head round it all. Wanted to say hello.
In fact my main question is what can I take if I get a cold. Can find anything anywhere. I am on Metformin

I just take supermarket equivalent "Lemsips" but to be honest, straight paracetamol will likely work just as well, I just like the comfort of a hot lemon drink when I have a cold.

I take Lemsip but the Patient Information Leaflet says that if you have diabetes you should talk to a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. This is under Warnings & Precautions. Anyone know why?

Just checking the one I have too and yes, it also says to check with GP or pharmacist if you have Diabetes Mellitus as one of the Warnings and Precautions..
From the other ailment warnings it looks like it has the potential to impact liver and kidney function and Raynaud's which results in poor circulation to the fingers and toes and these things can also be impacted by diabetes, so my guess would be that it may be covering that possibility without the patient being aware of those specific diagnoses or complications.

Might be helpful @Martin.A

Just take whatever you’d normally take for a cold
