Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi, I am new here. I am 40 years of age and have type 2 diabetes. I have a plethora of other health conditions too so looking forward to some help and tips from those who are already benefiting from lifestyle changes and finding out what’s working for people.

Hi @Scarley and welcome to the forum 🙂

Please feel free, should you wish, to share more about your conditions and what changes you may have been making already. This can help us get to know you better, and direct our support towards the areas you may need it most.

I'm sure others will chime in soon to say "hello", and give their thoughts and experiences! Those contributing might ask some questions about your diabetes, just to help put us in the picture of your situation, but answering anything is entirely up to you and what you're comfortable sharing with us here on the forum.

And please do ask (ask, ask) away with any questions you may have, it's a truly lovely bunch, and everyone is always happy to help 🙂

Awww thank you. That’s a lovely reply. Yes of course I’ll share more info when the time arises. There’s a lot to learn isn’t there xxx

Welcome to the forum @Scarley

Glad you have found us! It can be so helpful to have others alongside you to share experiences with, and who instinctively ‘get it’.

How long have you been living with T2? And have you found the dapagliflozin helpful?

Getting the right balance of meds and menu can be really helpful for glucose management. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to eating that will work for everyone (and your situation may be complicated by the other conditions you are living with!). Hopefully exchanging notes and ideas with other forum members will help you find a flexible, enjoyable, and glucose-friendly way of eating that works for you 🙂

How’s your mobility? Are you able to keep active?
