Welcome to the forum.
Recovery from even minor surgery can take time and a week is not long but if you are worried particularly about infection you would be wise to contact your GP.
I sympathise as I have a infected toe and it is agony.

I kept getting ingrown toenails and struggling with infections. I had both big toes done a week tomorrow but I have been struggling with pain last 2 days and struggling with walking. I will self cert for last week but I really do not know how I am going to manage returning to work tomorrow as rely on public transport and sometimes I can be up and downstairs like a yo-yo at work so think I will try and see GP asap tomorrow morning

Keeping your blood glucose well managed will help reduce the risk of infection and help with healing but yes having it looked at would be a good idea.

Thank you so much for responding, appreciate it. I am trying to keep under control my number was 80 last year when I was told I dread to think how many years I have had! Number 54 3 weeks ago which allowed me to go on list for the surgery.

That is a good improvement, well done. You may get some new ideas from this link which I have found successful and make sense. https://lowcarbfreshwell.co.uk/

Sounds like seeing your GP would be very worthwhile to get assessed, and perhaps given a little more time for your tootsies to recover before putting them through the rigours of a full-on working day.

Hope you‘re able to get an appointment today without too much hassle @Becks

Let us know how things go. 🙂
