Recently i have been diagnosed with type 2, and i am seeking advice on how to manage my diabetes.
so i don't know what hba1c is. I am on week 4 of taking metaformin 500mg tablets. i take 4 each day (2 in the morning and 2 in the evening). I've been on many appointments with the diabetic nurse, and I've been referred to hospital for high blood pressure. There has been many numbers thrown at me since I was diagnosed. With all of these appointments I feel like I live at my local GP.Hi Daniel. So many people here to help. A little more information would be great, do you know what your hba1c was? this is useful to know so you know how much effort you got to put it. Have you been given any medication ? Ask anything you like. We are a friendly bunch

I have a pretty good diet and exercise routine, I have a meal plan based on the recommendations on the diabetes UK website. I am really struggling with work right now. I get pains in my feet, legs, upper back, arms, and joints. This seems to consistent with peripheral neuropathy. It prevents me from getting sleep during the night and concentrating during the day.
I guess my question is, are there any others who suffer the same condition and have to do a similar job, eg.. being a software engineer? How did they manage?
Does anyone else also struggle to keep the house tidy?
Since been diagnosed with type two diabetes, I find it really difficult to do basic or simple tasks, as I often feel pains which prevent me from doing such tasks. It seems to be really hard to stay focused and be able to concentrate. I've also experienced blurred vision, nausea and high blood pressure.
The NHS is mostly focusing on my blood pressure, but I need to get a solution to these pains I'm feeling. I'm really concerned that I could lose my job as a result of not being able to deliver on time.
As well as being physically tired, I am also emotionally exhausted. I've been experiencing anxiety, depression and fear. I don't want my condition to get it to lead to anything worse.

I was the same until I got diagnosed with diabetes. My diabetic nurse recommended that I need to not skip meals because the metaformin can make you nauseous. Since my diet, I don’t eat any bread, pasta and added sugarI simply reduced my eating window but cutting out breakfast entirely and replacing it with coffee and double cream and changing what I ate to an ultra low carb / keto diet.
Still in remission 7 years later and a host of other health conditions are now things of the past.
I ditched the metformin instead...I need to not skip meals because the metaformin can make you nauseous.
I don't eat many carbs at all ... probably sub 40g per day if not less.I don’t eat any bread, pasta and added sugar
