Hello there @Ginjaninja and welcome. 🙂 Tell us a bit more about yourself - if you want to, of course. 🙂 What brings you to our cosy forum? 🙂

Have been type 2 for 12 years. Just started glicazide. Looking for advice/ideas on managing my diabetes. As not been a good diabetic in the past.

Welcome to the forum @Ginjaninja (love the username!)

I hope you’ve not been told you ‘weren’t good’ in the past - some healthcare professionals have been know to give forum members that impression in the past - and it always seems counterproductive and unhelpful to me :(

There’s no such thing as a ‘bad diabetic’. Only one who hasn’t had enough encouragement, support and motivation to make changes that suit them and work for them.

The tricky thing is that different people need different approaches, so there isn’t one single way that everyone can follow.

The great thing is that you’ve joined us here, and can discuss what you’ve tried so far, whether (or not!) it worked for you, and try some other approaches, or retry things that have worked for you in the past.

What are you hoping for from members here? What do you find difficult about managing your diabetes? Are there specific questions or worries you have?
