Hi and welcome

Would you like to tell us a bit more about yourself and your diabetes.... like.... Have you been diagnosed long? How are you managing it?
Which insulins you are on and MDI or a pump? Do you have the Freestyle Libre? What brings you to join our happy band? Do you need advice/support or just here to chew the cud with people who understand?

The forum is a wonderful resource with genuinely helpful and friendly members who have been through the same challenges. It has been invaluable to me over the past 11 months since my diagnosis finding my way forward with diabetes. I hope you find it equally beneficial.

I was diagnosed at the age of 13 and have been type 1 for 48 years and have been on Acc u check insight for 18months and I am still struggling anyone else in similar situation? X :(o_O🙄

Obviously I don't have the experience to comment since I am still on MDI but I am sure others will be along soon or you could perhaps post a question in the "pumps" section of the forum.
It might help if you are able to explain the problems you are experiencing.

🙂 Hello 😉
Hi @pgtips, welcome to the forum 🙂 Never too late to stop learning, so if you have any questions or concerns, please ask away 🙂 Often, diabetes can be quite an isolating condition, especially Type 1 as it is relatively rare in the population. In fact this forum was founded originally in 2008 by a lady who had been Type 1 for 35 years and never met another person with the condition 😱 It can really help to be among people who 'get it', won't get bored with hearing you talk about it, and can draw on our collective experiences to sort out problems that can stump the professionals! 🙂

I look forward to hearing more from you 🙂

Welcome to the forum @pgtips

Well done on your 48 years! Are there particular aspects of your diabetes management that are giving you problems at the moment? Or things about pumping that you struggle with?

You might like to start a thread in the General messageboard, or Pumping section with any specific questions or concerns.

As others have said, this is a great place to share experiences and compare notes and strategies. Diabetes is still frustrating and annoying, but it can really help to be among others who are facing the same frustrations and challenges every day.

Hello @pgtips, I am T2 so can’t be of any help regarding T1 but just wanted to say welcome to you and you have joined a great site with so much knowledge, advice and support; I’m sure you will be happy to be here. Sue

Hello and welcome to the forum.
If you can tell us what you are struggling with I'm sure members who pump can give some encouragement and advice on how to tackle the problem.
