I live on my own now - I have good support from my GP etc. Plus I am taking actions myself to get fitter and slimmer - very hard though

Hello from sunny Iver in Bucks.

From my experience, if you can get to grips with the weight, the diabetic symptoms can be more easily controlled. I've now lost over 30lbs since October 2009 and am currently off all meds (I was initially put on gliclazide and then metformin).
