Hello, Parent to a type 1 diabetic

elaine1969, I'll have to ask the diabetic nurse about the pump it sounds like an amazing thing and yeah i've noticed that with glargine.
Jaidens blood sugar dropping has been doing it since he was diagnosed.
Throughout the night he is really good and stays around 10 then by breakfast he is around 8.
 
It really is worth looking into, I do not know how she would manage without it. There is an awful lot of hardwork at the beginning though, it was a day and a half training with the DSN and it really felt like starting again from diagnosis, everything was new and scary!! It was so worth it for us in the end though. Good luck Kizza x
