Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi there im a newbie to this site so hello to all. Currently working in south korea at the moment. have to say its not dooing my diabetes any favours working out here lol. i hate korean food. and just been for a koream medical where they have just informed me my bloods are not beeing controlled. So off to the hospital tomorrow for some more test and hand over some more money.
need this medical to go offshore due to work commitments, called my diabetes practioner in the uk surprise surprise they arent alarmed about my blood sugars. they then go on to say maybe we will have to change your meds. i despair sometimes at the national health and the poor responce. think i need to be a little more worried about my health.
ah well thats it from me.
take care. does anyone have a good diabetic diet sheet i could borrow, im fed up eating dogs here, im sure the dog meat must be high in sugar.
lol only joking im a doggie person🙂

Hi, welcome to the forum 🙂 What are your blood sugar levels at? What meds are you on currently? Do you prepare your own food and do you test to see what effect it has on your blood sugar levels? Sorry for all the questions, just gives us a better idea about how you manage your diabetes. I'd suggest getting a book about the GL Diet - something like GL Diet fr Dummies, not sure if there is a Korean equivalent (i.e. one that is tailored to the type of food available in Korea).

From your description it doesn't sound that 'carby', so maybe trying more of it might have less of an effect on the blood glucose.......

the fatty pork cant be good for you in large doses.......😉

Hi, welcome to the forum, I'm a bit sad about the doggie situation out there, and your diabetes of course.🙂

Welcome to the forum.

It sounds like your knowledge of carbohydrates may be a little lacking. Knowing which ones affect you badly will go a long way in helping you sort your levels out (as well as regular exercise and weight loss .... if that is needed)

Andy 🙂
