Welcome to the forum HouTX

welcome to the forum, glad you found us. How is your 18yr old doing with transitioning to adult services and generally being a teenager with type 1?

@stephknits He is doing ok, I think he finds it frustrating at times but he's healthy, started wearing a cgm just hope he can get them on the NHS his next appointment in a few weeks. Orson's last HbA1c was 8.3 curious to see how it is in a couple of weeks. We are having Occ health issues with Network Rail.. I saw on this forum a while back some guy had the same thing.. soooo frustrating they are stuck in the dark ages. See what happens in the next couple of months.

Hi, welcome along. I’m sure we all find it frustrating at times. Fingers firmly crossed for a positive decision re cgm.

What CGM is he trying? Is he working for Network Rail? Having issues at work?

Hi
Diagnosed Type 2 Mar 25. BS originally 17.7, and now 8.5, with a low of 6.5 Apr 1. On tabs, which were increased yesterday by nurse. Still getting used what's what, but haven't been over 10.0 since diagnosis. How am I doing!?

Hi bluefish - I'd say you're doing very well. Great improvement, very quickly; just from this info I'd say you have every prospect of getting the thing under control.

Probably a good idea to start your own thread so things don't get confused. Let us know what you've been doing to get these changes.

Hi I hope that Orson’s bid for a CGM works. What issues is he having at work?

Hi, my son has been discovering the delights of negotiating Network Rail's ever shifting attitude to Type 1 since 2018.
How is your son getting on with his journey, I may have some tips if you need them.
