Hi all, just making a introduction post.

I was diagnosed the week before my 20th birthday in 2019 with type 2 (I suspect due to Binge Eating Disorder wreaking havoc on my system since my early teens) and PCOS & genetics predisposing me!

I've recently started Ozempic/semaglutide, and have been on metformin since diagnosis.

Joined the forum as I am intending to start the very low calorie diabetes reversal/remission diet as laid out in Life Without Diabetes by Prof. Roy Taylor and I suspect I will need lots of support and cheering on, and a place to share my victories!

I look forward to meeting you all 🙂

Hi Christmas,

Welcome to the forumn, I am also Type 2 Diabetes and am also considering Diabetes Remission.

I am sure that there will be plenty of us that can give mutual support for your journey to remission.

Welcome to the forum @christmas

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, and your struggles with disordered eating - Hope you were able to get some good support to help you with that.

Good luck with your attempts to try Prof Taylor’s very low calorie / weight loss approach to see if it helps. It is certainly a very exciting piece of research, and we have had several members who have had success through one or other form of the Newcastle diet.

Are you thinking of using shakes?

You’ll find a few folks documenting their progress on the Weight Loss board
