Good evening Vic,
A warm welcome to the forum, i know its not quite the same but how about trying sparkling flavoured water no added sugar(it has the fizz) I buy mine from Asda there 40p for a large bottle. Fizzy drinks are hard to say bye bye to and being truthful i still do drink Pepsi Max.

Your welcome its hard trying to find new habits to get into when you get diagnosed, so dont be afraid to ask anything anytime this forum is wonderfully welcoming x

Welcome from a fellow T2, who's two years in.

Welcome Vic, I am quite new to this too. Here in Spain we have agua con gas, which is just fizzy water (equivalent to soda water in UK?) I like a tiny bit of fresh orange juice topped right up with fizzy water. Maybe try that? Good luck!

Hello Vic & a warm welcome to the forum. We are friendly, supportive & willing to help each other along the diabetes journey.

Hi and welcome 🙂
If I want a fizzy I have Pepsi max, 7up zero or lilt zero, look for sugar free fizzies.

Hi Vicky and welcome to the forum. I still have fizzy stuff, I just go for the sugar free options.

Hello Vic, I'm also a new T2.

Perugino with a dash of lime is my suggestion.
If you stand on one leg and are lucky it will taste like a GnT.

Mike

Welcome to the forum. Fizzy drinks are so hard to give up.

Or if you put ice and lemon into a hi-ball glass, pour in an amount of colourless liquid from a blue bottle marked Bombay Satin, or a clear one marked Gordon's or Beefeater etc and top up with Schweppes (other brands are available) Slimline Tonic - it tastes even more like a G&T LOL
