Welcome to the forum @sam86
And good to hear you have been able to accept your diabetes now.
Diabetes can be a nuisance to live with, but there are ways to make it fit into your life, while still keeping a lid on it, and not having to spend all your time focussing on it.
Hopefully the pains you are getting in your legs and feet will resolve themselves once your levels start to settle a bit. Sometimes a sudden change from running a high average to being more in range (which can give rise to the false hypos you may be getting while your ‘glucose thermostat’ resets) can also trigger transient forms of neuropathy and changes in the eyes. But hopefully these will resolve in time. Or at least stabilise as your levels come more into range, and not progress further.
Let us know how things go 🙂
