Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hello All
I've had type 2 diabetes since April 2015. I live in South Yorkshire. I had severe bacterial pneumonia in May of last year, because my immune system was down because of the diabetes. I had a wound on leg that wouldn't heal and that's where the infection started, ended up in hospital having a lung operation .
I get my annual review results next week, fingers crossed that I get a good result. Last year's results after 6 weeks were 32 and 5.6 and 3.2 cholesterol. I was diagnosed at Readings of 119 and 20 and 5.8 cholesterol
I take 1 Metformin 500mg twice a day

Hi Twisty, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear about the rough time you had last year, but it sounds like your results were pretty good, if the 32 was an HbA1c test - that's pretty much perfect! Hope the review goes well - let us know how you get on, or if you have any questions 🙂

Thank you.
Yes 32 was the HbA1c result. Can't see me getting it again. I'v only just learnt about Carbs. I've been on XPERT course in February and DESMOND course in January,

Hi Twisty and welcome to the forum.
