Hello there. You have come to the right place to get you through this. The support I have received has been brilliant. Ask all the questions you have, don’t worry if you think they are daft, they won’t be, and you will find the replies will flood in by people who have experienced similar feelings. I am too new to this, so am not full of answers, but am able to say I am so,so, pleased I joined this forum.

Pretty much everyone feels lost at first. Some are scared too. I was.

Thankfully there are a lot of kind people on this forum with tons of experience who can help and advise.

There's a lot to get your head round and a lot to learn. Its a journey not a destination.

Do you have a few more details. How you came to be diagnosed. T1 or T2 or some exotic type. Have you been given meds, test meter, etc. What NHS support and advice have you been given?

If you give a few details then people can help better.

As has been said ask any question. Nothing is silly or nonsense. If you have questions then they are all valid questions.

Welcome to the forum too.

Hi Carole1911, welcome to the forum.

It's natural to feel overwhelmed when you find out that you have diabetes, I know I did. Your profile suggests being at risk of diabetes, which means that you have a good chance of turning things around with a few tweaks.

Do let us know a bit more about you, how you came to be diagnosed and any test result numbers you may have been given.

We're right here to support you so please do feel free to ask any questions you have and we'll be happy to help.
