I am a great one for making my home made soups and now doing my chia/oats with berries for breakfast, I think I need to work harder at lowering the carbohydrates, but it's counting the calories and getting portions size better, do you have anywhere that I can get some guides for that.
The best guide for me was Cronometer (free version), an app which monitors your carbs, protein and fat and over other 80 other nutrients.
All I have do is to select Chicken Breast and enter 95 grams, Onion 101 g, Celery 53 g and so on from a huge list of foods. Cronometer works everything out after each entry and displays running totals. That means I can plan recipes and meals.
At the end of the day (and the end of the week) I can see if I've had enough fibre or too much iron; whether I need a glass of milk to top up calcium; and keep an eye on vitamins.
