It’s amazing how things have moved on isn’t it.
 
What is a hybrid closed loop?
It's the obvious thing to think of once you have a computer controlled insulin pump and a CGM: you connect the two together (carefully) so the system can automate some of the process of managing BG. (It's hybrid rather than fully closed loop because it still allows (and encourages) intervening for food and (I think) exercise. The trials with fully closed systems have mostly been in people with Type 2.)
