It is. And over the next few years ~75% will be offered a hybrid closed loop. (And maybe that'll be 100%, presuming things go as hoped.)

It's the obvious thing to think of once you have a computer controlled insulin pump and a CGM: you connect the two together (carefully) so the system can automate some of the process of managing BG. (It's hybrid rather than fully closed loop because it still allows (and encourages) intervening for food and (I think) exercise. The trials with fully closed systems have mostly been in people with Type 2.)
