Hey guys, Merry Christmas & soon to be happy new year after this crazy one!

First time I've ever joined a forum. Starting to feel I need some help & be nice to see some stories to make sure I'm on the sort of right track even after 20 years of diabetes.

Hope you're good,
Jamie

Hi Jamie and welcome.

Hope you find the forum and helpful and supportive as I have over the past 2 years. I can say I have made some great virtual friends here too. People who understand the challenges of living with diabetes first hand and can share their experience to help you find better solutions. It really has been an invaluable part of my diabetes education and ongoing support, particularly in these difficult times.

Would you like to tell us a bit more about your diabetes... ie Are you on MDI or a pump? Freestyle Libre? Which insulin(s)? Most recent HbA1c? Any particular difficulties you experience with it?

Feel free to also tell us a bit more about your life in general and any hobbies if you wish to as well.

Perhaps you might like to join the "Group 7-day waking average" thread where we post our daily fasting reading and have a bit of chat/banter or share our plans for the day. It is a good place to get to know people...

Don't feel obliged to read through from the start as it is a hugely long thread and has morphed from it's original title. It is currently more of a morning check in and catch up, virtual coffee morning. Feel free to just jump straight in with your reading and you will soon get the hang of it and get to know us. Hope to see you there.

Hi Jaime and another welcome, like you I was winging it on my own for many years and looked in here as a guest many times and started to see some interesting reading, opinions, ideas and much more so I joined up properly a few months ago, I have to say a great bunch of people

Welcome to the forum Jamie!

What kind of help do you need at the moment?

I know what you mean about making sure you're on the right track. I'm your age and was also diagnosed with diabetes as a kid, and felt like I had to completely relearn how to manage my diabetes in my early twenties.

Welcome to the forum @Wilmie02

Nice to have you with us! Look forward to learning more about your experience of diabetes over the past 20 years 🙂

Good to see you have the Libre. Is that funded by the NHS for you?
