I am a Type 3 diabetic (I have family and friends with Type I and Type II diabetes which I have helped for over 25 years). Hope to see you around and to share your gems about diabetes.🙂

Hi Steff

Type 3s are carers of people with diabetes.
I have looked after my mum, a Type 2 (on insulin) for 25 years.
My best friend is 45 and is a Type 1 from childhood. We have been friends 25 years too.

Dear Michael,

Welcome to the forum - with experience like yours we could do with sharing some of your gems. I look forward to seeing your posts.:D

Whow, i'd better grant my parents type 3 status, or should that be type 6? After all they've got two type 2 parents and one type 2 daughter! We're please to meet you, the more the merrier!

love the T3 status never heard that before!!

Hi Michael, welcome to the forum.

Diabetes Australia

Hi Mike

Lived in Melbourne for the last few years. Australia really got things going on the insulin pump front. They are much more readily available in Australia than the UK. Guess it is just too expensive for the NHS to fund them all!😎

Hi Diabetes college and welcome aswell to forum when you want, why don't you say hi here aswell! i think someone from the forum is off to OZ soon ! going global!!!

Welcome!

Michael and Diabetes College!
Michael - You are an angel being a Type 3 (I loved that type - though I am sure it has confused many!!) I only know what my hubby has to put up with when I have low blood sugar. I have just added in a new section to the site for friends/carers as there are many with questions and that also need support - can be as hard living with someone with it as well as having it!
