I am a new member
Recently had a type 2 DM diagnosis
I hope to get answers to practical issues and also hope to share my own experience here too.

Did your diabetes diagnosis come out of the blue from a regular health check, or is it something you’ve been keeping an eye on for a while? Were you told the result of your HbA1c (this will have been a number above 47mmol/mol, but may have been much higher).

Have you been started on any medication to help with blood glucose management?
 
Hi @Ishola welcome to the forums. Based on my personal experience this is a great place to start when you first get that dreaded diagnosis.

I've had diabetes for over 30 years and have only recently joined, should have done it ages ago! So pleased you decided to join us ....🙂
