Have had type 2 for about 5 years now tried every oral med going with little change was referred to local diabetic clinic as the doctors at my local practice ran out of ideas.
I was started on insulin in April of 2019 it took a few months of fine-tuning to get a level balance of an insulin dose. I did get regular check-ups with the diabetes clinic I had been referred to. After a few months of what I found was a very haphazard way the clinic was run I asked to be referred back to my local clinic at my medical centre. I would not say that I am having to inject insulin every day but it is the only option available. Diabetes seems to run in my family. have a daughter with it and also a brother. Have a niece who as been type1 for over 40 years She as been through the mill with it, lost her sight at 19 and as also had 2 kidney transplants, and is now awaiting another.
