Hi
I have been diagnosed as prediabetic following a healthier diet and food changes. I am almost three stone lighter and have joined a gym and swim regularly, looking for a healthier lifestyle and future...

Hi, Dora - welcome to the forum. Sounds like you've responded positively to your prediabetes diagnosis and are doing all the right things to prevent it progressing. Well done on the weight loss - that'll help, as will being more active. What changes have you made to your diet?

Welcome to the forum @Resurrect

Sorry to hear about you being told you were at risk of developing diabetes.

Great to hear about your weight loss, and the changes you’ve been making to a healthier diet. Sometimes we don’t really realise how much ‘junk’ has crept in to our everyday eating. Or how our portion sizes may have crept up.

Hopefully the positive changes you have been making will steer you away from the diagnosis threshold. Were you told the result of your HbA1c? For being ‘at risk’ this will be a number between 42-47mmol/mol.

Welcome to the forum @Resurrect

You've made a great start, which in itself may start to get you back into normal range, so well done.

As the diagnosis is new to you, please ask as many questions as you wish

Alan 😉
