Hello evey one just trying to find out which bread is best just brought a wallburtons danish because it's very low in sugar thanks

Hi @seastar44 which bread is best is a matter of debate as different people on the forum are looking for different things from bread.

Total carbohydrates is much more important to consider than sugar, although Warburton's Danish bread is lower in those per slice than many other commercial loaves (though I'm not sure how much that is because it is very fluffy so slices might weigh a bit less than average!)

Do you have a target for how many grams of carbohydrates you want to have each day, or are you just looking to reduce your intake a bit?

Just eating to much bread got this danish today to see how that goes l get so confused don't eat that can't have that so I just eat normal but in moderation but I know bread sends my blood sugar up

Welcome to the forum @seastar44

Do you have a BG meter to check after eating? Or are you going by bread’s reputation?

Some people find seedier breads are slower absorbed (and the space taken up by the whole seeds pretty much can’t be digested)

I think Livlife and Vogel used to be fairly low carb options, but I’ve never tried those.

Telling the DVLA depends on which meds if any you take. Mostly they are interested in ones that can cause hypos.

I tried a bread called 'hi low' which tasted like normal brown seeded but less 15 carbs per 100g...would recommend
