Hi I’m new to the forum. Have been type 2 on insulin for quiet sometime and have just had a wake call regarding my eyes. I have had a course of injections in my left eye but have told they are not working and now need a steroid injectio. Has anyone had this procedure?

Is it macular changes that the injections are intended for?

Steroids can cause increases in blood glucose levels. So you may need to adjust your insulin doses.

Do you adjust your own doses? Or are you happier getting recommendations from your Dr or diabetes nurse?

I think @Eddy Edson has had eye injections for macular oedema?

Thank you. Yes I believe so, i did ask the doctor and he said all I need to know is that it’s diabetic retinaopathy. I have a lot of bleeds in my left eye and the injections over the past year are not working. I have injected according to what my diabetic nurse tells me.
