Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi there, just to let everybody know I am new to this forum but Ive had Diabetes for a while now. Im 57 and disabled & live with my wife in the NE of England. Ive just started a new Medication which is one of the main reasons I decided to join as I know others here will have had more experience of it than I (Ozempic) I am also on Metformin. My wife is Diabetic also so we find that mutual support in our eating habits helps a great deal. My wife is from Eastern Europe & has been here 5 years & hopes to become a naturalised British Citizen very soon.

Hi @Medvejonok and welcome, glad you've joined us 🙂

There are some forum members that use or have discussed using Ozempic hopefully they will be along to share their experiences, I've just searched for previous posts about it and hope there is information in the threads that is useful to you.

Welcome to the forum @Medvejonok.

You've already been pointed in the right direction by @Flower, but do feel free to ask any questions if you can't find the information you're after. There are no stupid questions here! 🙂

Hope the new medication will work well for your diabetes. It's really sweet you and your wife can support each other!

hi @Medvejonok
welcome to the forum,
hope the Ozempic helps you to improve your blood sugar controls, are you just on Metformin and the Ozempic?

I've been on Ozempic for a few months now,
having reduced my insulin (Novamix)
it’s been great for me the addition of Ozempic plus a lower carb diet
Its certainly helping, I was sceptical about going onto Ozempic when
it was first sugested to me probably about 18 months ago by DIabetic department @ hospital
before I agreed to give it a go.

I find I am eating smaller portions since I’ve been on it.
often a half sized meal and even with the smaller meals sometimes I feel uncomfortably full.

Welcome to the forum @Medvejonok

Good to hear that you and your wife can support each other.

We have certainly had a few members join in recent years who have been started on Ozempic or a similar class of medication. Hope the threads in those search results are helpful to you 🙂
