Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
T2 Diabetic going on for a quite a few years now and my diabetes is out of control.

And look like its never going to under control after a recent blood test my hb~~ was 124 now its 103, I am currently taking insulin 3 time a day,I don't drink, I eat healthy foods, Cant do much exercise due to a back issue.

I have a trapped nerve in between L1 And L3 which causes major pain in my legs arms and back.

Cant stand up for more than 5 minutes at a time due to chronic pain in most of my body,

I don't get out much only to the hospital or doctors, due to social phobia and agoraphobia Few years ago the neighbors thought my girlfriend of 27 years had buried me in the back garden because people hadn't seen me for year after year..

I have also been suffering with depression / being bipolar for at least 20 years.

Well that's all i have too say for now...

Hi Adrian, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear you are having to contend with various problems that are exacerbating your efforts to get your levels under control :( What insulin are you on, and how long have you been on it? Are you on any other medication? I may be preaching to the converted, but have you tried tailoring your diet so that you are eating things that you are able to tolerate well? Have a read of Test,Review, Adjust by Alan S to understand what I mean by this. The definition of 'healthy food' is very broad and means different things to different people, and this is especially true when you have diabetes. For example, fruit juices are seen as 'healthy' by most people, but they will have a very big impact on your blood sugar levels, so are best avoided - the 'healthy food' for us is that which will release its energy slowly and steadily, without causing 'spikes' in levels. It's worth having a read of The GL Diet for Dummies which describes how to select and combine foods that have this 'low glycaemic' impact - sounds complicated, but it's really not! 🙂

Let us know if you have any questions and we will do our best to help! 🙂

Hiya! - glad she hadn't buried you Adrian - and that shows your sense of humour has survived and I always reckon - one of them helps us survive a hell of a lot more things than we would without it!

And one of those - is diabetes. I can usually find something amusing about everything, when I want or need to. And sometimes - we all NEED to!

Onwards and downwards, Adrian!

Thank You All, for your kind words i will reply with more information at a later date.
