Hello everyone 🙂

I've just joined this site and am looking forward to having a look around the boards and hopefully getting to know some new people. I've had Type 1 Diabetes for 30 years, since I was 5. I've been on Insulin Pump Therapy since last October and I'm so amazed and impressed at how technology has advanced in the last 30 years. I love my pump!

I've only been on here 2 minutes but I already have a question. I hope I'm right in thinking that I should go and post it on a different board though - I'm off to search through the list!

I look forward to meeting some of you 🙂

Welcome to the forum sunflowers - don't worry if you ask a question in the wrong place - someone will find it and move it for you.

There is a forum for those pumpers amongst us - so maybe take a look in there.

I'm 22 and this week hit 20 years of type 1. I've been using a pump since last September and like you love it!

🙂 Wow, thanks for all the hellos and welcomes 🙂 It's lovely to 'see' so many people and it seems like there's a lovely wide range of you on here - fab! I've never been anywhere quite like it! It's so lovely to see some old-timers here - do you get to reminise about clunky stainless steel syringes and dropping fizzy tablets into a test tube wee sample to watch the colour change?! And how exciting to also be part of the (relatively) new era of technology with fellow pumpers - wow! Thanks all 🙂

Hi Sunflowers welcome to the forum. Yes there have been times when we've recalled the glass syringes and the fizzy tablets along with the original ways of testing blood from fingers......it's great that things have improved so much since those days:D
