Hello again

Hi everyone. I have been a very long term member of this forum since almost the day it started, but haven't visited or posted for a long time, so I thought I'd reintroduce myself. I am type 1. I've been on an AccuChek Combo pump for almost 8 years (due to be replaced in November and hoping for the Omnipod dash). I also use Libre 1 Sensors which I am lucky enough to have on prescription.

Where have I been? Well, I have been Admin on diabetes-support.org.uk for 14 years, but am now closing the forum mainly because of technical issues relating to the forum software, but perhaps those issues were just the push I needed as the forum was becoming very slow and it was time to say goodbye. I have made many friends on that forum and I am hoping to keep in touch with them here... not to mention looking forward to meeting new friends here.

So... er.. that's me... hoping to get to know you all better in the future.

Yep, quite a few of us are indeed here, and I actually joined here about the same time as I did Diabetes Insight - since I wasn't sure I'd want to stay on here, I used my alternative persona of TW instead of the older more familiar 'Sedge'. I liked DI cos I found really sensible advice and suggestions from people there (like Patti and some others at that time) and which was the fore-runner of DSF - and when the owner of DI decided to close that down - that was the bud from which DSF bloomed!

Well you can always ring the changes and update your username if you like... though any quoted mentions of TW would remain, which might confuse things rather!

DI was indeed the forerunner of DSF, but in fact DSF was launched very shortly before this forum. A matter of a week or so. It was a long time ago... and I can't remember what I did yesterday LOL! But that does stick in my mind.

LOL indeed - on pondering this for longer - wonder if I was hedging my bets in case DSF fell by the wayside? Could well have been that, never been famous for taking risks have I?
