Hi, I have not been on the message board for a while. I have had a tough year, my mum died in February (age 95 but it is still a shock) I left my husband in March, fell out with my brother in May, and my eating plans have gone haywire.
I have put over a stone back on after I had done so well and I am eating for 'comfort'.
I now have a flat of my own in Sussex which is proving to be good, just 30 mins from the sea 🙂
My daughter gave me my first gorgeous grandson 6 months ago so that is absolutely wonderful , and they only live about 15 mins drive away.

Tomorrow i have my D eye test, not fun at the best of time but nor=t being allowed to drive back I have to catch a bus and wait an hour for the appointment, and if I miss the bus just after it should be finished I will have over an hour's wait then too !! Ah well, country living !!

Sorry to moan. I must get my act n order again.

A

Nice to hear from you again Ann, but very sorry to hear of the difficulties you have had. Good to hear that you are starting to settle in your new home and with your daughter and grandson so close 🙂

I hope things go smoothly with your eye test so you can get there and back without fuss 🙂

Hi Ann,
lovely to hear from you and many congratulations on your new Grandson.
So sorry to hear about your Mum ((((((((Hugs)))))))

Hi Ann, nice to see you back.

Sorry you have had a tough year though lovely news about your grandson 🙂

Good luck with the eye test x

Thanks guys 🙂

Lovely to hear from you again Ann. Glad to hear things seem to be settling. Enjoy spoiling your grandson (and them handing him back when all supercharged on E-numbers :D)

Hello Ann, I too have only just returned. Life gets a bit much sometimes doesn't it? Keep your chin up 🙂 With best wishes

Hi Ann, from another recent returnee. Sorry to hear you've had such a difficult year, but hopefully things will start to settle down and you will be happier now. My sympathy on the death of your mum, it's not easy no matter what age they are. I lost my lovely mum 5 years ago, she was only 76 and I still miss her every day. Congrats though on joining the Granny club! I can heartily recommend it, my little grandson is 4 and a half now and I've loved every minute so far. Good luck with the eye check tomorrow. XXXX

Hi Ann.

Another absentee here I'm afraid.

Sorry that you've had a bad year. I hope your return can see you with a refreshed approach to yourself and the knowledge that, if you can survive all of that, you can survive anything.

You're clearly a very strong person and I'm sure you'll be able to stay healthy for your grandson. 🙂

Rob

Good to hear from you, AnnW

Hope there's a cafe / tea shop etc if you have a long wait for next bus. 🙂

Thanks for your confidence in me people !

I am feeling better by the day, my problem is/was that I still love my husband but his family got in the way and he was weak... didn't stick up for me, anyway, things getter better by the day thank goodness. I now love in such a nice area, the sea inspires me 🙂

The eye check was so quick but I had a wait for an hour at each side of it , and waiting for the bus.. wouldn't it just be the sunniest day ever , and to see the bus coming I had to look into the sun!

No coffee bar or anything, I survived on my bottle of water and a treat at costa when I got back to my town !!

Hopefully the test is ok, she said at first look all seemed well... here's hoping 🙂

I've had a few tests where the weather has been the sunniest ever! 😱 So difficult to read the bus numbers and you do get funny looks with your dilated pupils! Glad it's over for a year though, hope the results come through good 🙂 Nice to hear you have found such a tranquil place to live 🙂

Thanks Northerner 🙂
