Could be either.

I remember, many years ago, sitting down in a state of collapse after my son's 4th birthday party (and in the dark ages such parties took place at home), and watching a rash creep across my body. I could see it growing! All gone in a couple of hours.

If it persists, as usual, if basic treatments don't help (is calamine lotion still used?) and you are worried, consult surgery?

I agree, best to keep an eye on it and phone your GP if it doesn’t go away on its own, or begins to look a bit angry and painful.
