I have two different heart rate monitors on my mobile phone...hopefully they are not accurate, as one said I had an irregular heartbeat, the following time, it was normal. The other one first of all said I had a normal heartrate, and the second time, I had arythmia and duchycardia

I don’t find them very accurate @Jane50 I prefer to take my pulse the old-fashioned way as at least I know it’s accurate.

thanks, I have not found them that accurate either, although I do try them occasionally, although my nurse or doctor would soon check it out if I did have anything wrong...I know from before, an ambulance person said I had an irregular heartbeat, I suppose it would show up sooner or later

It is possible to arythmia/irregular heartbeat some of the time, and a normal heartbeat the rest.
I've no idea how accurate these monitors are, and wouldn't like to give advice on them. In other times, it would be worth mention this to your GP though.

Oh, then I'd take it that you do! Why doubt what the monitors are telling you that much then?

Thanks, but think the nurse should know this when she does my diabetic check and checks blood pressure and pulse together

I will be seeing my nurse probably in the new year, and sure that when they do my blood pressure check and pulse, they may pick up on it

I've got an arythmia, as a result of a heart attack and genetic heart condition. (Silent heart attack, I didn't know I'd had one until Dr were checking me for something else. Could have happened any time in the last 30 years, according to the consultant.) This wasn't picked up until I went in specifically to have checks for my heart. This is despite having my BG checked regularly for 5 years before, cause of high BG and being on tablets.

Do make sure you ask about it at your next appointment @Jane50, so that it can be checked out.

Difficult when you don’t know how reliable the watches are, but it does sound like it has been mentioned to you before. So try not to worry too much, but do contact your GP or NHS111 if you get any symptoms.
