Don't know what I have let myself in for, I have been booked on 6 sessions with a health trainer. Don't have a clue what it entails just know its for 6 sessions. 😱 😱

Well I doubt it will be any sort of Medieval torture chamber run by Miss Whiplash, though you may think so at first.

It sounds worth a try though, good luck.

ha wish we had a like button !!! good luck pav

When I signed up for 'exercise on prescription', it was 6 months of twice-weekly torture! Mind you, after the first 3 weeks I did manage to reach my feet to strap them into the rowing machine. 😱

P.S. I was a size or two (more like seven) bigger than now.

First meeting with them on Monday afternoon to discuss the plan, This was arranged via the Admiral nurses and the carers contact centre. Think they signed me up for a few other things, with so much going on forgot what was planned and most unknown phone numbers means a surprise of one sort or another.

Also been invited to a meeting to meet some big wigs of the local hospital board with a few others to put our concerns about the lack of care.

Hoping all goes well pav with the health trainer, and that you can get some good points across at the meeting 🙂

One thing you might consider for the meeting Pav, is a printed list of bullet points (no more than one page) highlighting what's missing. Take along a few copies to hand to the people there, that way, they can't miss anything important.

Thanks all, good point Alison, will have a think and put some stuff down on paper. 🙂

At least kinkgym.com is free:

"Sports masochists encouraged.
Slaves trained. No fees."

It's enough to put one off one's high fibre diet.

Meeting went well with the trainer, meet their criteria to qualify for the programme on 3 counts, 1. over weight, sore point this as I have put on 8 kilos since going on gliclazide (new I put on weight but not that much :( and a BMI of 34). 2. being diabetic, and 3. having arthritis.

Food diary started ready for next weeks meeting and he's drawing up a plan.

Not a good day for the diabetes as I have had 2 mild 3.8 hypos :(

Yorksman add a few bulges in the wrong places and put on normal clothes and you might be getting close to my body style. :D

Glad to hear the meeting went well pav, I hope the programme goes equally as well for you 🙂

Think I have blown the diary today already, 6 wine gums, 4 cracker wheat crackers, a small handful of raisins and half a mini pork pie, to sort out the hypo that would not shift.
