Glaswegian who wrote romantic novels dies in Bay aged 69

THE author of some of Britain's favourite romantic novels has died in Torquay.

Iain Blair, 69, kept secret for years the fact that he was writing the popular fiction under the name of Emma Blair.

Eight -year old completes 30-mile charity bike ride

AN EIGHT-year-old boy who suffers from diabetes has completed a gruelling charity bike ride. Luis Phelan, who has type 1 diabetes, cycled more than 30 miles in the Liverpool to Chester cycle ride to raise funds for lcharity Diabetes UK.

Diabetics to lose driving licences after hypoglycaemic episodes

Patients with diabetes who have had more than one episode of hypoglycaemia in the previous year will no longer have their licences renewed, under new proposals by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
