Older people cared for at home 'lacking basic rights'
Care of older people in their homes is so poor their human rights are being overlooked, an inquiry by the Equality and Human Rights Commission has found. The inquiry is investigating how well over-65s who receive homecare visits are looked after in England.

Vaccine hope for prostate cancer sufferers

Government policies for treating drug addicts in England are flawed and "doomed to failure", a think tank says. The Centre for Policy Studies says rehabilitation is a better use of the ?3.6bn now spent on treating users with drug substitutes like methadone and keeping them on benefits each year.

I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry when reading the comments in response to the "Parents asked to look out for diabetes symptoms" story from the Dorset (nee Bournemouth) Echo.

Just checked that out, I think I'd rather stick needles in myself than read any more ......
 
At least there are some good refutations of the idiot's comment which hopefully other people will read and understand. I love the way he/she persisted in their argument even though it was repeatedly pointed out that the comment was totally irrelevant to the article. I rarely read the comments on news articles as they are usually peppered with ignorant rubbish and very rarely is any sort of proper moderation in force.
