Take zinc to fight a cold, say scientists
While zinc is perhaps best known for protecting cars against rust, in minute quantities it has a host of important physiological functions. This was almost triple the three per cent of women aged 50 to 69 who were diagnosed at a late stage.

Going bald early 'doubles prostate cancer risk'
Having high testosterone has long been linked to baldness, while it is also suspected of being a risk factor in prostate cancer, which kills about 10,000 men a year in Britain. Now French and Canadian researchers have discovered that those who develop a pronounced 'widow's peak' by 20 should be vigilant about prostate cancer in later life.
